I am a self-taught wildlife and pet portrait artist living in Cornwall with over 20 years’ experience. My fascination and passion for wildlife started at an early age growing up in a small Oxfordshire village spending my days in the woods sketching the birds and animals.
I specialise in beautiful and unique hand drawn pastel, graphite or alkyd oil portraits of your dog, horse, cat or any other pet you may have – created simply from your favourite photographs. I also offer portraits of your children using graphite on vellum paper. If you are interested in commissioning a portrait please get in touch.
The highest quality materials are used to create your portrait.

Paintings on slate
Painting on reclaimed slate came by chance, a lady I met had a German Shepherd who had just passed away and she wanted to do something to remember him by on his grave. So I suggested a memorial on slate, cut to size and varnished to preserve the look. I find slate excellent to work on, the weathered grain enhances the finished painting.
Slates are varnished with exterior varnish or resin and they can be displayed outside, though I do recommend a sheltered position.
You can see examples of my slate paintings here
Prices for slates can be seen here on the pricing and ordering page.
I have slates on display in Freddie & Maltida, Lemon Street, Truro, Perranporth Gallery and the Lost Gardens of Heligan, their website can be viewed here.
I am also a member of the Society for all Artists and an active member of Newquay Art’s Society
